CAAS Accredited

Vital Link is one of three nationally accredited ambulance services based in the state of Arkansas.  On October 8, 2003, the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) awarded Vital Link its first three-year accreditation.  Vital Link achieved accreditation for the fourth three year period through October 31, 2018.  To achieve accreditation, Vital Link has met over 155 standards of excellence established by experts in the emergency medical services industry.  Accreditation is a process that requires all operations to be brought in line with accreditation standards, a detailed application which demonstrates that Vital Link operations meet CAAS standards followed by a site visit of EMS experts.  A CAAS site visit team including nationally certified paramedics inspects every aspect of Vital Link operations and gathers evidence related to CAAS standards.  The CAAS Panel of Commissioners reviews the original application, the site visit report, all additional information provided and either awards or denies accreditation.  Vital Link has achieved full three year accreditation in four successive accreditation cycles.
