Vital Link EMS cuts ribbon on its newest ambulance base, located on the Southside School District campus. Having an ambulance crew stationed in Southside will further the mission of Vital Link by allowing for quicker responses to patients in the southern part of Independence County. Kathy Lanier, CEO, expresses appreciation to the district's administration for helping Vital Link make this long-time dream happen. The leadership team is also grateful for the ongoing support of its board and community members as it strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for the families in Independence County.

VITAL LINK EMS CELEBRATES 40 YEARS IN SERVICE,
ANNOUNCES EMS WEEK GALA

Vital Link EMS is celebrating its 40th year in service by hosting a gala during EMS Week. The event is a celebration for the employees, as well as the entire community. All are welcome to attend, including present and past board members and friends. Tickets can be purchased online at https://emsgala.eventbrite.com, by e-mailing info@vitallinkems.org, or by calling the business office at 870-793-3351. A portion of every ticket sold will be designated toward the education of paramedic students attending UACCB’s Paramedic Program.

The gala will take place at Lyon College Edwards Commons on Friday, May 19, 2023. The doors will be open and drinks provided starting at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Speakeasy Rock Band, featuring Christian Baxter on vocals and Chris Wilson on drums. Attire is black tie and blue jeans.

OF NEW BASE IN SOUTHSIDE

Vital Link partners with Southside School District to add a new base in Southside. Location will on Southside Middle School campus, near the softball field, at 45 Hardin Lane. The new facility will provide a modern, state-of-the-art space for the staff to work from, and will be equipped with the latest technologies and equipment to ensure the service will continue to provide the highest level of care to patients. While the crew stationed at the Southside Base will continue to respond to calls throughout Independence County, the hope is that shifting a full-time crew to the area will bring new peace of mind to residents, along with quicker response times.
